As Jesus developed His ministry upon this earth, we see Him sending out 12 disciples in Luke 9:1-2. He gave them His authority, His power and the commission to preach the kingdom. He multiplied His ministry by sending out the 12. Later on, in Luke 10:1-2 Jesus sent out 70 and commissioned them to preach and heal in His name. After His crucifixion, burial and resurrection He again sent forth His disciples to every nation to make disciples, to baptize, to teach and to observe all things that He had commanded with the promise of His presence forever. In Romans, chapters 8 and 9, Paul addresses giving and receiving in his ministry. In Romans 9:8 and 10 he says,
“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you always having all sufficiency in all things may have an abundance for every good work. Now may He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness.”
This is my prayer for you as you sow into the ministry of An Encouraging Word with Ann Nunnally. Most of you cannot go to India or Mexico or even a distant city to preach the gospel and pray for |
